An Albuquerque Home Stager's Perspective - Seller Psychology

  2. I'm fascinated by the Sellers I encounter in Albuquerque as I perform my daily home staging consultations for owner occupied properties and prepare home staging proposals for vacant homes on the market in Albuquerque.

I think the funniest thing I encounter are stubborn Sellers.  I offer a tip, a suggestion, something to consider before they list the home for sale and they are adamant in their refusal to participate in the execution of said tip or suggestion.

Example;  

Me:  "Ms. Seller, I'd like you to consider painting the blue and white sponge painted ceiling in one of your bedrooms back to a flat white ceiling."  

Ms. Seller: "Absolutely not, I'm not painting.  I told my Realtor I'm not painting too!"

Me: "Ok, well, it's just a can of paint, it won't take too long, and I think it could make a big difference, but it's up to you."

In other cases, I will provide a Seller with a home staging proposal to stage their vacant home on the market in Albuquerque, and they want to critique my furniture and design and color selections - me - the professional they want to hire to help their Realtor get the house sold...... 

Example:

Mrs. Seller:  "I don't think that gray sofa with blue and green decor pillows matches my beige walls and carpet."

Me: "Hmmm, really?  I've used this color combination before and had huge success."

Result:  House sold in less than 30 days on the market with my color selections.

These examples are humorous but also to send a message - if you hire a professional home stager (like me) to help you get your Albuquerque house sold more quickly and for more money than if it were not professionally staged,
 that I know what I'm doing, that I won't ask you to do anything outlandish, expensive or unreasonable.  
I have experience with hundreds of Home Staging projects in Albuquerque over the past several years and dozens of positive customer testimonials.  I also have excellent results in days on market of those said staged homes.
